May 12: Tribute to Maryam Mirzakhani

I had the pleasure of being a part of a celebration of women in mathematics on May 20, 2020. The event was organized by Annamaria Iezzi and Taste of Science and features background on Maryam Mirzakhani and her work by Dr. Iezzi, a panel discussion, and my talk about the art of abstraction and applying math to real problems.
